Sessions

Sessions, what to expect.

Introduction contact: Can we work together?  In our initial contact via email or phone, and if you are happy to arrange sessions, I will send you relevant paperwork to complete before your first session.  This will include basic contact details, overview of what you feel is your presenting issue/challenge and terms and conditions.   I can also provide a life balance workbook for you to have a look at and explore. The life balance workbook is optional and one that can be done with me or for your own personal use and gain.

Venue: You choose, my home office or online (via Zoom, WhatsApp or Telephone).   I have a separate office based at my home address that provides a safe environment for us to be able to work together. It is important that I can give you an environment free of interruption and to feel comfortable in. Everything will be clean and sanitised in preparation for every visit. If you decide that online counselling is the best option for you, rest assured that the tools and techniques I provide are just as effective as they would be in a face-to-face setting.

Length of sessions: 60 minutes.   Some clients find that 1 hour is never enough. Most practitioners if not all, tend to offer 1 hour sessions. This is a good timeframe to explore issues/challenges without too much emotional exhaustion.

Number of sessions?  I'm here to support you going through a difficult time.  Average number of sessions are 6-8. However, as a client this is your journey and you may feel you only need a small number of sessions or you may need longer.  We can work together and check in at the beginning or end of each session how far along the journey you feel you are and assess the number of sessions you wish to continue with.

Cost?  The initial 30-minute session is free of charge. Full sessions, lasting 60 minutes, are currently priced at £50. I understand that this cost may be a concern for some, so I am always happy to discuss it upfront to find a suitable arrangement.
