The quality of our relationships and our self awareness determines the quality of our lives.

My name is Cath and a warm welcome.  I appreciate and understand that taking the step choosing someone to offer you emotional support in your journey, can be a daunting, anxious step, and I  know that choosing the right person to be there in those difficult moments in your life is an important one.  My journey  began with a traumatic event in my past that changed my life and perspectives. With the right support, it is one that I am able to look back on and be grateful for. It has shaped my  growth and learning, which I will always continue  so that I am able to offer the same support in your difficult times today.

I am on a register that has been accredited by the Professional Standard Authority.

I currently hold a basic DBS check certificate.

Professional Development

Academic training

My training has included emotional therapy, counselling practitioner, life coaching and a diploma in modern applied psychology.

Completed a course as a Mental Health Practitioner. I also have a background and understanding of narcissistic behaviours and relationships.

I continue to study and practice in different areas such as shame, narcissism, understanding trauma and have recently completed the Rewind Technique course.

Community experience

I have been a volunteer for The Samaritans. A charity dedicated to give emotional support to anyone who calls or messages.

Therapy Approaches

Mindfulness

The more self aware of who we are, helps us gain understanding of we can interrelate with our world, others and our experiences. Discover interpersonal skills to gain meaningful relationships. I can use toolbox techniques such as journal work, creative work, visualisation and meditation  to name a few to explore focus and understanding of yourself and connect with the inner you. We can focus on breathing techniques and learn ways to help regulate our emotions, stress and trauma. I encourage clients to discover mindful activities such as yoga, walking and reading to help connect their emotions with the body, mind and soul.

Talking Therapy

Get what story is going around in circles around in your head out. Being able to speak to freely with confidence and trust to someone with empathy and no judgement is, in my personal and professional experience...liberating. Sharing our burdens releases suppressed emotions and can be empowering to create a life not only to feel better but to be better.

Emotional Therapeutic Counselling

What motivates us? Why do we make the choices we do and how it creates the outcomes? Our thoughts are not facts, just thoughts. Our emotions fluctuate with our current pattern of thoughts. Explore what conscious or unconscious thoughts block and create limiting self beliefs. This connects with mindfulness and talking therapy.

Let's Talk

The first step in therapy is talking. Let's find a time where we can meet and talk about what's on your mind.
